What is SPARA?
Generally employees in a company rarely turn OFF their computers when they go on a break or leave for the day. This is mainly because the employees do not want to waste their time to turn OFF or turn ON their systems. It is made even worse by the fact that most of the employees do not know or care about the operational costs of the company.
We have developed and are proposing a system which can eliminate nearly 90% of these losses when used together. Spara software can make sure that the power is used according to the requirement of the user and at the same time can also take care of the breaks which the employees would take.
How does SPARA work?
The Spara software is a client – server software which works within an intranet and saves power through various features of the software such as Scheduling / Pattern recognition / Power Schemes etc. The Admin module has the ability to perform power down operations such as System Shutdown, Hibernate, Standby, Monitor Standby etc, on the specified client nodes by remotely configuring required settings on it.
Software Features
We know that SPARA uses AI algorithm and figures our pattern of behavior and we can use it schedule when computers should go to standby etc. But is that the primary way SPARA reduces power Consumption?
The AI algorithm and local Power Schemes of Spara is triggered as soon as Spara is installed on a system. The AI algorithm takes 5 days (Customizable) to learn the pattern behavior where as the Local Power schemes starts working straight away. Once the pattern is studied both the AI algorithm and the Local Power scheme works accordingly to ensure perfect power savings.
Can you quantify the amt of power used by a Desktop PC using a 17” LCD monitor if switched on the whole day. Thereafter after having SPARA software run what power save do you see in a day?
A PC with a 17” LCD would consume about 100-110 watt/hr. Given below is a table that shows per day consumption of a single PC compared to a PC installed with Spara.
Formulae:
· Working hour consumption= Working hours X % X Consumption
· Lunch hour consumption= Lunch break X % X Consumption
· Non Working Hour Consumption= Lock & leave X % X Consumption + Monitor OFF & leave X % X
· Consumption + Shutdown X % X Consumption
· Per day consumption= Working hour Consumption + Non working hour Consumption + Lunch hour Consumption

Why are we different?
This is a seriously interesting question for us as well. We google-ed, yahoo-ed, live-ed and what not-ed but we were unable to find any product in the market which is capable of comprehensively reducing the power wastage in computers as SPARA. Though there are some product which have presence in this domain, a short feature comparison will give more insight into the distinctive advantage of SPARA over the other players.
